Amazing MINI Models

MINI Cooper S Cabriolet

I recently test-drove the MINI Cooper S Cabriolet, a thoroughbred sport scar with enough engine capacity to give you a thrilling ride. The tight suspension and Go-Kart like handling really made the test-drive very exciting.

The roof came down in seconds and transformed the Cooper S into a real summer character. With the top down the aerodynamics were amazingly tolerable, and besides it being a small car I found I had ample leg and headroom, and I'm no shorty.

Besides the really comfortable seats, the digital interface was wonderful, with the retro style large central display taken over from where the speedometer used to be in the old MINI. The navigation was spot on and really easy to input a new destination or stop the guidance. The Bluetooth connectivity was snappy and simple to connect, even I could do it without fuss.

If you enjoy driving and love the feel of a responsive suspension and pin sharp steering then you really must test-drive this zippy little car with a big heart.

MINI Clubman

Test-driving the MINI Clubman straight after the Cooper S Cabriolet was actually a good thing. I literally went from the one to the other and appreciated the differences as well as the similarities.

The Clubman is really a Maxi MINI and the ability to open the back doors with the remote was a function that I really want to congratulate MINI on. Somewhat more spacious than the Cabriolet, the Clubman offered ample room for all five seats and plenty of boot space for sports kit, shopping, tools or any other cargo you might want to transport with your Clubman.

The Clubman is available in two models, the fifteen hundred and the two-litre. Either model will impress with ample power and acceleration and the amazing MINI handling characteristics.

This is a family car or a corporate executives car, it is that versatile. The plush interior and spec level leaves little to be desired and if anything then SMG MINI Rocks will be able to customise your MINI for you.

From the multi function steering wheel to the traction control, the MINI Clubman is thrilling to say the least.

Come and visit SMG MINI Rocks this Saturday and enjoy their Demo Day with free speciality coffee for anyone who test drives one of their models, there will be boerewors rolls on the braai, rugby on the telly and Halaal and vegetarian options as well as a selection of MINI's to test drive.

You will find them at 21 Lighthouse Drive, Umhlanga Rocks, or call them on 031 - 561 3569 and arrange a time that suits you, but make sure you take a MINI for a test drive before you do anything else.
