Through my eyes

In my profession I constantly meet super talented people, people who were born with that special gene, people whose spark burns that much brighter. I am forever humbled to walk in their shadow and admire their genius.

This week The Bugle is filled with talent. People that fill these pages are super clever, I mean look at Pebble Beach Development in Sibaya, the developer, Charles Thompson of ID Construction is super talented, he is changing the skyline of our precious coastline and his designs are slick. Oh, what I would do to own one of those penthouses with the unlimited views of the Indian Ocean.

What really appeals to me is that Pebble Beach will be built on the last piece of land within the Sibaya Precinct that has nothing in front of it. Beach access is completely unobstructed. Imagine making this your home!

However talent comes in many shapes and sizes. There is no realistic gage to measure ones genius, like for instance the North Coast Artists who are exhibiting in La Lucia Mall this week. You have to check out their talent.

As I have no real artistic knowledge or training, I'm hardly an expert but I can tell you now that all of the pieces hanging in the corridor of the local Mall could be displayed at any respectable gallery.

And what an honour it is to support local talent, home grown, raw gifts from our creator. Oh and lets not forget to mention Mr and Mrs Riley, who recently celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary.

Now there is a talent! 60 years with the same woman and still going strong, even though he did have to sneak around to make the phone call to the newspapers while Mrs Riley was at the hairdresser. Five phone calls later, and the 82 years old Mr Riley did need to make it clear, that I was invited to the Beverly Hills Hotel to take photos, I was not however invited to have breakfast with the family.

Talent really abounds in these Bugle pages. It is wonderful to see my fellow Pole, Viola Markowska who recently won agent of the year for two consecutive years with the most commission earned in the group over the last 12 months.

Viola has real talent in what she does. If you are looking to rent your property, Viola is your girl, she has oodles of talent in being receptive to everyone's needs and I guess this is what you need when you are trying to find people a place to live.

I am always looking for talented and inspirational people to write about. So if you feel you have the talent, write to me and let me help you share your talent with my readers. Have an effervescent week as we enter into my most favourite month of the year! Let the party begin!
