The future of real estate in Prime Property.

Entrepreneurial couple Pranil and Desh Maharaj are young, ambitious and passionate about property. They possess determination and self-belief. This is a major reason for their success; they refuse to be beaten and persevere when 'the going gets tough'.

Eight years ago Pranil and Desh started Prime Property in Umhlanga and they have never looked back. At the time Pranil was the youngest Estate Agent Principal in the province and he was planning to conquer the world, if not the world, then at least the North Coast of KZN.

The Maharaj duo are seriously driven, they have grown from one agent in 2008 to 55 agents today, with five estate agencies, fully operational and another three waiting to be launched in Ballito, Pinetwon and Umlazi.

Pranil and Desh's success lie in their vigilance, learning, flexibility and change. They prefer to find ways of saying 'yes' rather than 'no'. They are not 'control freaks', however they do pay attention to detail. They are bold in their decision making, believing that there are two times in a man's life when he should not speculate - when he cannot afford it - and when he can.

"From the very beginning we accepted that success is never based on once off transactions; it comes only by encouraging the customer to return again and again." Said Pranil, "We value the relationships we forged with the developers and our clients. We knew that we were here for the long haul and it meant that our social responsibility and business ethics needed to live up to our ambitious search for success."

Today Prime Property is a thriving business specialising in sales and letting of properties, property management and commercial letting and sales. Their young and vibrant agents are not only gorgeous and effective; they are also focused and techno savvy. Each agent is equipped with his or her own transport and smart phone, which makes their response time fast and professional.

Prime Property's head office is situated in the vibey Gateway Precinct. Their office is always a pleasant buzz of activities and friendly faces. While Pranil takes care of property sales, Desh Maharaj is responsible for the rentals side of the business and provides comprehensive rental management packages.

"We are very privileged to be situated in this growing metropolis," said Desh, "Our customers are young, successful and busy, we provide a complete turnkey solution, taking the burden away from our buyers, our sellers and our rental customers."

There is a wonderful George Bernard Shaw saying, "The best way to forecast the future is to invent it!" Pranil and Desh have successfully managed not just to create a prosperous business for themselves but also create a business for their agents to continue thriving, through loving mentorship and dynamic training that each agent receives when they join Prime Property.

Pranil and Desh are a rare breed of local entrepreneur, they understand that there is little difference between obstacle and opportunity and are able to turn both to their advantage. Theirs is not a matter of analysis but of instinct. Make your next property movement a Prime Property one.
